Description

Generator Gas: The Swedish Experience from 1939-1945, Third Edition with Index — a 344-page document from SERI (Solar Energy Research Institute) with scientific editing by Thomas B. Reed and Daniel Jantzen — is made available here from the archives of the former Biomass Energy Foundation (BEF). This is the “Old Testament” of gasification — a translation by the Solar Energy Research Institute (SERI) of the Swedish book, GENGAS, which describes the conversion of the Swedish motoring fleet and stationary engines to the use of gas generated from wood or charcoal during the Second World War.

This publication was originally sold by the Biomass Energy Foundation (BEF) for $40. Dr TLUD and staff would like to thank Dr. Thomas B. Reed for making this publication available for free distribution.
