How to crush or grind chunky char into “appropriate” size small pieces has been a discussion several times. Here is a creative way that uses an apple crusher / apple grinder.
A friend of mine saw this photo on Facebook but does not know who, where or when.

Apple grinders (new) are for sale around $180 to $300. Manual operation. The electric model is more of an apple slicer, not what is needed for biochar crushing/grinding
Seems to work well for Biochar.
